Returns and Exchange Policy
1. General Policy Overview
We want you to feel confident with your purchase or rental from Biltmore Tuxedos of Rutherford. Due to the nature of formalwear, our return and exchange policies vary between sales and rentals. Please review the appropriate section below.
2. Returns & Exchanges for Purchases (Sales)
We accept returns and exchanges on eligible purchased items under the following conditions:
Return Eligibility
- Items must be returned within 7 days of purchase.
- Items must be unworn, unaltered, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached.
- A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.
Non-Returnable Items
- Tailored or altered items are non-returnable.
- Clearance or final sale items are non-returnable.
- Shirts, vests, socks, and shoes are non-returnable for hygiene reasons
- Pre-rental items are non-returnable.
Refunds
- Refunds will be issued using the original form of payment.
- Shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable.
- Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
Exchanges
- Items eligible for return may also be exchanged for a different size or style, subject to the return eligibility criteria listed above as well as item availability.
3. Rental Returns & Cancellation Policy
Tuxedo rentals are time-sensitive and custom-prepared. Please review our rental return and cancellation terms carefully.
Rental Returns
- Rented items must be returned by the agreed return date (typically the next business day after your event).
- Late returns may be subject to a late fee of $50 per day.
- Items must be returned complete and in good condition (jacket, pants, shirt, vest, tie, shoes, etc.).
- Customers are responsible for lost or damaged items. Replacement fees apply.
Rental Cancellations
- Rental orders canceled 10 or more days before pickup will receive a full refund or a deposit refund whichever is applicable.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than 10 days before pickup or no shows.
4. Fit Issues & Adjustments (Rentals)
We do our best to ensure proper fit. If a rental item does not fit:
- We will provide an on-site adjustment or replacement, subject to availability.
- Please notify us immediately after pickup if there are fitting issues.
- We require 48 hours to make adjustments.
